Professional Experience

I am a clinical psychologist and have been in private practice in Berkeley for over 30 years. I am a faculty member of the Women’s Therapy Center in El Cerrito, where I chaired the Advanced Training Program in couple therapy, and a former faculty member of the Pacific Center in Berkeley and John F. Kennedy University in Orinda. I teach courses at various graduate schools in the Bay Area (including JFKU, Dominican College, and Saybrook Graduate School) in several areas: relational theory, therapeutic issues for sexual and gender minorities, bisexual identity, feminist treatment of eating disorders, clinical skills, couple therapy, and qualitative research methods. I have conducted research, published articles, and given presentations on sexual and gender identity, bisexuality, and eating disorders.
